I LOVE WINTER - Trails, Forts and Foxtails

The ice is in and solid. My semi-retired sled dogs and me, went out for a walk on the lake. I laughed so hard, they were just like Bambi on the, very lightly covered ice.

We also walked down the trail that I cleared and have maintained with the help of friends for many years now. There were a lot of windy days this past summer and my work has been cut out for me, as I have to "cut out" a lot of trees.

This one blown down tree will make a great fort, maybe even sleeping shelter, as soon as we get some snow.

...And, No this is not Kubbie's tail, but he found it. It's a foxes tail and I'm attempting to preserve it so that I can show my grandchildren when they all get here.

I'm either the coolest Granny or the most peculiar.

Peculiar kind of seems to fit ... But hey, someone might say that about me too!
